AIM & OBJECTIVES

  Role of CPFI Business Committee
(Indo British Enterprise Partnership)
   
>
Our Aim is to encourage businesses in India and UK to establish joint ventures with each other as it could increase the quality of products and enables the exchange of views on the technology used.
>
Facilitate local businessman to interact with the Indian business community to exchange technology and establish good business relationships.
>
In liaison with Indian High Commission and Conservative parliamentarians, hold regular receptions/business lunches or business breakfasts for members at the House of Commons or Indian High Commission
>
Hold regular meetings with relevant staff/ministers at the Indian High Commission, Conservative Parliamentary Party trade spokespersons, DTI, CBI, FICCI , CII, London first, Trade partners etc. to update on relevant issues.
>
Hold topical seminars/lecture programmes with speakers to include leading business people and parliamentarians/government representatives
>
Prepare and circulate short quarterly news letter on relevant issues/ bilateral trade developments
>
Organize professional seminars/speakers at least twice a year to discuss and understand the difficulties faced by members involved in under taking bilateral trade (manufacturing, export, import, local trading sectors).
>
Organize trade missions to and from India.
>
Represent members interest and lobby/build links to bodies such as the CBI, Institute of Directors, Indian Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Indian Industries
>
Where appropriate also lobby DTI/Trade partners and other government agencies in UK and India for example the need for increased de-regulation
